With local and home-reared produce at its heart, Balgove Larder is to host a feast of local food and drink to celebrate Scotland’s Year of Innovation, Architecture and Design. The event features a standout menu and a series of talks and demonstrations from the Master Butcher at Balgove Larder and Fife Food Ambassador, Christopher Trotter.
Taking place in Balgove Larder’s iconic Steak Barn on 20 July at 6.30pm, the evening will begin with an introduction by Will Docker, the founder of Balgove Larder. This will be followed by a demonstration of traditional butchery skills by Balgove Larder’s Head Butcher Colin Nicoll and talk from Christopher Trotter on the Year of Innovation, Architecture and Design.

The menu focuses on local summer ingredients with a menu consisting of:
- Fife Lobster & Fennel Cocktail
- Balgove Lamb with Dauphinoise Gratin & Home Grown Leaves
- Tentsmuir Summer Pudding with Fresh Cream
The evening celebrates the Year of Innovation, Architecture & Design within the Steak Barn, a converted combine harvester shed, with walls ingeniously constructed out of old potato crates.
