Last week, we were kindly invited to sample the newest menu at Six by Nico. Titled ‘Guilty Pleasures’, we didn’t need to ask anything about the menu before accepting – clearly, this was going to be an indulgent meal to excite the tastebuds.
First opened as a drinks merchant in 1896 before becoming a pub, The Barony is a firm fixture on recommendation lists for Scotland’s Capital and a favourite of Edinburgh locals.

Umi has been on our list since it opened, so we were delighted to get the opportunity to review it, especially since it was our first baby-free dinner together as a twosome, and thank god for that – sushi and ramen would not be easy to eat with chopsticks in one hand and a baby…
